Course Objectives
1- To teach advanced theory and practices of foundation engineering
2- To teach new technologies and applications in foundation engineering
Course Description
Foundations. Site Exploration, Sampling, In-situ Measurements. Shallow Foundations. Lateral Earth Pressure and Retaining Walls. Sheet Pile Walls. Braced Cuts. Pile Foundations. Foundations on Difficult Soils. Reinforced Earth Structures. Soil Improvement. Design of Foundations for Vibration Control.
