Course Objectives

1. Through weekly lessons and assignments, to create a competency in the necessary contrapuntal and harmonic skills necessary for composition,
2. To develop an understanding of musical process and forms, particularly those of contemporary music,
3. To teach how to realise and present their compositions in performance, if necessary making revisions under the guidance of the instructor.
