Course Objectives

1. To introduce topics related to science and technology policies,
2. To discuss the affects of science and technology policies on society,
3. To analyze the relation between science and political power on constructing technology policies,
4. To compare science and technology policies in different cultures.

Course Description

Science and technology policies, public policies as research object, globalization and the cultures of expertise, technocracy, defense technologies, science and technology policies in the European Union, science and technology policies in Turkey, alternative policies in science and technology.
