Course Objectives
- To learn the technical side of the instrument
- To make a contribution by performing to the relevant area

Course Description
Etudes from the classical guitar repertoire that improve technical levels. Arpeggio exercises that develop right-hand techniques. Exercises and etudes that improve left-hand techniques. Pieces from the Contemporary period. Articulation and interpretation studies in the pieces of the Contemporary period. Anatolian folk music & Ottoman/Turkish maqam music arrangements and compositions of the classical guitar and microtonal guitar repertoire.
Course Outcomes
I. Performing etudes from the classical guitar repertoire that improve technical levels.
II. Learning and performing arpeggio exercises that develop right-hand techniques.
III. Learning and performing exercises and etudes that improve left-hand techniques.
IV. Learning and performing pieces from the Contemporary period.
V. Learning articulation and interpretation studies in the pieces of Contemporary
period.
VI. Learning and performing Anatolian folk music arrangements and compositions of the classical guitar repertoire.
