STR 617 - Archaeology of Istanbul

Course Objectives

To learn and understand the layers of Istanbul that have developed until today, like archaeological layers in an excavation; and reading sources of the respective periods. Onsite visits will deepen the understanding of cultural heritage.

Course Description

After 5 weeks of theoretic courses in the class, we will weekly visit a neighborhood of Istanbul under a chronological or general topic.
