ISS 523E - Global Marketing

Course Objectives

The main objective of the course is to familiarize the students with the international marketing environment -including economic, social and cultural similarities and differences among nations- and the marketing applications and strategies relevant to international markets. The course examines the specific issues involved in developing international marketing strategies and in conducting marketing operations on an international as opposed to a domestic scale. Also, to develop students’ abilities to identify and evaluate marketing opportunities abroad and to use their skills in gathering information, drawing conclusions from it and presenting the material are among the objectives of this course.

Course Description

The course will be consisting of interactive lectures, case discussions, class assignments, and a term project. Preparation and participation by students are an essential part of the course. The course also involves substantial teamwork where students are expected to develop and demonstrate effective interactive skills by making presentations.
