Course Objectives

1. The course aims to familiarize students with literature and primary sources on the history of science and technology in the Ottoman World.
2. The course will introduce students to archival methodology and practices on historical study of science and technology in the Ottoman Empire.
3. The course will equip students with analytical reading and writing skills together with critical approach to the primary sources in addition to the archival research practices.
