Dersin Amaçları

The objective of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the concepts of strategic management by covering both theory and practice. This course will channel students to think critically and to have a hands-on experience through case analysis.

Dersin Tanımı

This course is about the ‘big picture’. Where do you want to go with your organization? What are you trying to achieve? Why? & How? The course starts from the analysis of the external competitive environment, looking at industry structure, and assess how a firm can select the best position within this environment. Then, we will move to an analysis of firm resources and capabilities. Finally, we will examine the challenge of coordinating the pieces of the puzzle that underpin corporate success by identifying what businesses should be brought together within the company.
