Dersin Amaçları

The aim of this course is to introduce students to fundamental computational methods used in the computer-aided solution of scientific and engineering problems. The course aims to develop students' skills in algorithmic thinking, applying numerical methods, representing engineering problems through mathematical and computational models, and analyzing and interpreting computational results. Students are also expected to develop solutions to engineering applications using MATLAB or similar scientific computing tools.

Fundamental computational methods for modeling and solving scientific and engineering problems. Algorithm development, programming fundamentals, data analysis and visualization, numerical computation methods, systems of linear equations, interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, numerical solution of differential equations, and computational applications to engineering problems. Use of MATLAB or similar scientific computing tools for solving engineering problems.
