Dersin Amaçları
The course provides a strong foundation in the physics of diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation oncology, including imaging systems, treatment technologies, and safety principles. It introduces radionuclides, PET, and hybrid modalities in diagnosis and therapy, and covers (EBRT), dose distribution, and advanced treatment techniques.
Dersin Tanımı
This graduate-level course introduces the principles and applications of medical radiophysics across diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation oncology. Topics include X-ray imaging, CT, MRI, ultrasound, radiation protection, radionuclides, PET, hybrid imaging, external beam therapy (EBRT), dose distribution, treatment planning, and advanced radiotherapy techniques. The course provides students with a solid theoretical and practical foundation to analyze and apply modern imaging and radiotherapy technologies in both clinical and research settings.
Dersin Çıktıları
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Explain the physical principles of diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation oncology, including the operation of imaging and treatment systems.
2. Demonstrate understanding of radionuclide physics, PET, and hybrid imaging modalities.
3. Apply concepts of dose distribution, treatment planning, and advanced radiotherapy techniques.
