Dersin Amaçları This course will review the frequency domain fundamentals of the Classical Control Theory, leading to the control design and analysis using state-space methods. We will emphasize to include both the practical and theoretical aspects of the topic. By the end of the course, you should be able to design controllers using state-space methods and evaluate whether these controllers are robust to some types of modeling errors and nonlinearities. You will learn to:
• Design controllers using state-space methods and analyze using classical tools.
• Understand impact of implementation issues (nonlinearity, delay).
• Indicate the robustness of your control design.
and we will cover nonlinearities at the last few lectures where we
• Linearize a nonlinear system, and analyze stability.
• Review Lyapunov theory and nonlinear control synthesis.
In that sense the last part of the course is a well-rounded introduction to nonlinear dynamics and control covered at UUM618E.
Dersin Tanımı This is a M.Sc. level course on Linear Controls and serves as the “Modern Control Theory” class which is a follow up to typical “Classical Control Theory” classes. This course is modelled using Massachusetts Institute of Technology 16.30 “Feedback Control Systems” and Stanford University EE363 “Linear Dynamic Systems” courses.
