| Dersin Amaçları |
Modern Mimarlık mirası olarak adlandırılan ve ülkemizde yaklaşık olarak 1925-1975 yılları arasına tarihlenen ve farklı alt dönem ve üsluplardan oluşan kültür varlıklarının belgelenmesi ve korunması, 1990’lardan başlayarak önce uluslararası daha sonra ulusal meslek platformlarında önem kazanmıştır. Bu alanda ileri düzeyde eğitim gören lisansüstü öğrencilere konuya ilişkin temel bilgilerin aktarılması ve tartışmaya açılması için dersin amaçları aşağıdaki şekilde belirlenmiştir:
1. Modern Mimarlık kavramı ve alt dönemlerinin açıklanması
2. Modern Mimarlık mirasının korunmasında uluslararası ölçütlerin aktarılması
3. Modern Mimarlık mirasının korunmasında farklı müdahale yöntemlerinin örnek uygulamalar ile açıklanması,
4. Uygulamalara eleştirel bakabilme becerisi kazandırılması.

Mimarlıkta Modernizm: kavramlar, kökenleri, üsluplar, mimari ve kentsel fiziksel çevreye etkisi; Modern Mimarlık ürünlerinin kültür varlığı olarak kabulü, tescil ölçütleri, korunmasına yönelik yaklaşımlar; müdahale yöntemleri.

| Dersin Çıktıları |
(ii) Alanının ilişkili olduğu disiplinlerarası etkileşimi kavrayabilme; yeni ve karmaşık fikirleri analiz, sentez ve değerlendirmede uzmanlık gerektiren bilgileri kullanarak özgün sonuçlara ulaşabilme (bilgi).
(v) Yeni ve karmaşık düşüncelerin eleştirel analizini, sentezini ve değerlendirmesini yapabilme (beceri).
(vi) Alanı ile ilgili çalışmalarda araştırma yöntemlerini kullanabilmede üst düzey beceriler kazanmış olma (beceri).
(x) Yaratıcı ve eleştirel düşünme, sorun çözme ve karar verme gibi üst düzey zihinsel süreçleri kullanarak alanı ile ilgili yeni düşünce ve yöntemler geliştirebilme (Öğrenme Yetkinliği).
(xiii) Bir yabancı dili en az Avrupa Dil Portföyü C1 Genel Düzeyi’nde kullanarak ileri düzeyde yazılı, sözlü ve görsel iletişim kurabilme ve tartışabilme (İletişim ve Sosyal Yetkinlik).
(xiv) Alanındaki bilimsel, teknolojik sosyal veya kültürel ilerlemeleri tanıtarak, yaşadığı toplumun bilgi toplumu olma ve bunu sürdürebilme sürecine katkıda bulunabilme (Alana Özgü Yetkinlik).
(xvi) Alanı ile ilgili konularda karşılaşılan toplumsal, bilimsel, kültürel ve etik sorunların çözümüne katkıda bulunabilme ve bu değerlerin gelişimini destekleyebilme (Alana Özgü Yetkinlik). |
