Definition and development of science; scientific research approaches; literature review and analysis; research design; quantitative and qualitative research methods; data collection techniques; thesis, project, and scientific article writing techniques; ethical principles to be followed in conducting research; ethical principles in academic publishing; ethical issues in citation and referencing; key considerations for delivering effective and successful presentations; presentations on thesis topics and research conducted within the student’s own engineering field.
