Dersin Amaçları Yirminci yüzyılda, Planlama Teknikleri'ndeki gelişimi yönelten başlıca etken, 1950'lerden beri uluslararası alanda karşılaşılan niceliksel devrimdir. Yerleşim kalıpların belirli bir doğrulukla tanınabilmesi yolunda, sözel betimlemeler, ölçme ve çözümlemenin daha belirgin ve nesnel yöntemlerine yer vermek zorunda kalmıştır. Bu derste, planlama teknikleri ve istatistik dilinin sınırlılıkları, matematiksel tekniklerin sosyal bilimlere ve planlama alanına uygulama olanakları çerçevesinde belirlenmektedir.
