Dersin Amaçları

The main objective of this course is to build up the basic knowledge on various financial instruments as well as quantitative models for investment management. Students will learn to make decisions by taking into account such features as interest rates, and rates of return. The main topics include: equities, fixed income securities, options, futures and other derivatives. Also, we will discuss about their pricing models
and investment strategies.

This course will be an intensive/exploration/hands on course. The student will acquire on his/her own all the terminology and financial lingo to be used throughout the semester. Examples of the topics to be covered include from basics such as principles of corporations, definition of the different types of stocks, options, other derivatives and financial ratios to more advance topics such as assessment of stock volatility.
