Dersin Amaçları

Course Objectives:
1. Understand and apply the foundational principles of quantum mechanics, special relativity, and classical waves.
2. Explore atomic structure, particle physics, and the interaction of matter with electromagnetic fields.
3. Analyze the behavior of quantum systems and apply quantum mechanics to various physical systems.
4. Investigate nuclear reactions, fission, fusion, and the astrophysical phenomena shaping our universe.
5. Develop skills in experimental physics through hands-on laboratory assignments and error analysis.

Dersin Tanımı

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the principles and advanced topics in modern physics. Students will delve into atomic, molecular, and optical physics, special relativity, and quantum mechanics. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical understanding and experimental application, including two home-based laboratory experiments and numerous homework assignments.
Students will study the fundamental forces of nature, nuclear physics, and particle physics, along with the practical applications of modern physics in technology and everyday life. The course balances conceptual insights with rigorous mathematical analysis.
