INS 354E - Hidroloji

Dersin Amaçları

The aim of the Hydrology course is to introduce the fundamental principles of the hydrologic cycle and the processes governing the occurrence, movement, and distribution of water on and beneath the Earth’s surface. The course covers precipitation, evaporation, infiltration, runoff, and streamflow, as well as methods for hydrologic data analysis and interpretation. Students will develop the ability to analyze hydrological processes and apply appropriate methods to practical water resources and engineering problems.

Dersin Tanımı

Hydrology is the scientific study of the occurrence, distribution, movement, and properties of water on, above, and beneath the Earth’s surface. It examines the hydrologic cycle and its major components, including precipitation, evaporation, infiltration, groundwater, runoff, and streamflow. The discipline provides the fundamental principles and methods needed for the analysis and management of water resources and the solution of various water-related engineering problems.
