This course is designed to teach the incentives of individual economic units such as consumers and firms. We will develop basic tools that are necessary to address real-world economic issues. Microeconomic analysis is the cornerstone for many fields including industrial organization, capital markets, labor economics, public finance, development economics and international economics. Main topics to be covered are as follows: the theory of consumer behavior, the theory of firm, the theory of market structures and game theory. After successfully completing the course, students will be able to model economic behavior of individual agents.
