Bu ders, küçük bir yerleşim alanına odaklanarak, arazi kullanımı planlamasına bir giriş sağlamak üzere tasarlanmıştır. Arazi kullanım planlarının temel bileşenleri hakkında veri ve bilgi toplamak ve analiz etme konusunda deneyim kazanacaktır.

Arazi kullanım planlaması, yerel yönetimler için doğal, yapay ve sosyo ekonomik çevrenin ihtiyaçlara göre planlamasında ve tasarımında kullanılan anahtar bir araç olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu yönü ile topluma direk olarak ulaşan etkileri bulunmaktadır. Kent plancıları ve tasarımcılar, çevresel sistemler, politik ve ekonomik güçlerle ilgili tüm değişim ve gelişmeleri arazi kullanım planlamasına yansıtma görevleri bulunmaktadır. Plancılar ve tasarımcılar gelecek arazi kullanımı veya kent planı için ortak bir vizyon oluşturma sürecinde bilgi birikimlerini, teknik ve siyasi becerilerini, problem çözme, yaratıcılık yetilerini kullanarak çözüm aramaktadırlar.

- Planlamanın doğasını ve toplumdaki ihtiyacını anlar,
- Planlamada temel ilkeleri ve farklı planlama görevleri arasındaki ilişkileri (mekansal planlama, bölgesel planlama ve arazi kullanım planlaması) bilir;
- Arazi kullanım planlamasının doğasını ve amaçlarını açıklayabilir,
- Planlama ilkeleri ve arazi kullanım planlama yöntemlerini bilir ve bunları belirli problemleri çözmek için uygulayabilir,
- Arazi kullanım planlamasının teknik, ekonomik, yasal, sosyal ve ekolojik özelliklerini anlar ve bunu açıklayabilir,
- Arazi kullanım sorunlarını tanımlayabilir, analiz edebilir ve gelecek arazi kullanım senaryosu oluşturabilir. |
