| Dersin Amaçları |
1. Ders, öğrencileri Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda bilim ve teknoloji tarihi literatürü ve birincil kaynaklarla tanıştırmayı amaçlar.
2. Ders, öğrencileri Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda bilim ve teknolojinin tarihsel incelemesi üzerine arşiv metodolojisi ve uygulamalarıyla tanıştıracaktır.
3. Ders, öğrencilere arşiv araştırması uygulamalarının yanı sıra birincil kaynaklara eleştirel yaklaşımla birlikte analitik okuma ve yazma becerisi kazandıracaktır.

| Dersin Tanımı |
Ders, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda bilim ve teknolojinin tarihsel seyrini incelemektedir. Ayrıca bu ders kapsamında, öğrencilere, Osmanlı Dünyası'ndaki bilim ve teknoloji tarihi literatürü, tarihin temel kaynakları, arşiv metodolojisi ve uygulamaları tanıtılacaktır.

| Dersin Çıktıları |
Öğrencilerin aşağıdaki becerileri geliştirmeleri beklenmektedir:
1. Osmanlı dünyasında bilim ve teknoloji tarihi ile ilgili mevcut bilimsel literatüre, tarihin birincil kaynaklarına, arşiv metodolojisine ve uygulamalarına aşina olmak,
2. Birincil kaynaklara ve mevcut literatüre eleştirel bir yaklaşım kazanmak.
3. Tarihin birincil kaynaklarını kullanarak özgün bir araştırma yapmak ve bu araştırmayı makaleye dönüştürmek. |
