Dersin Amaçları		Lisans düzeyindeki havacılık ve uzay mühendisliği öğrencilerine, hipersonik rejimde çalışan araçların anlaşılması, analizi ve tasarımına katkı sağlamak için gerekli fiziksel sezgiyi, analitik araçları ve hesaplamalı yetkinliği kazandırmak.
Dersin Tanımı		This course introduces the physical phenomena, analytical methods, and engineering tools unique to flight at Mach 5 and above. Beginning from the limitations of classical compressible flow theory, students develop an understanding of the coupled aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and chemical processes that characterize the hypersonic regime. Topics span thin shock-layer theory, real-gas and high-temperature gas effects, viscous interaction, aerodynamic heating, thermal protection systems, and an introduction to airbreathing hypersonic propulsion.
