Course Objectives 1. To gain skills about architectural profession services
2. To gain awareness of professional ethics in the field of architecture
Course Description This course includes topics related to architectural profession, architectural services, project delivery methods, initiation-design-bidding/tender-construction and closeout phase services, construction contracts and contract documents, cost estimation-cost planning and cost control, project planning and programming, contract administration and controlling services during building production process, establishment of an architectural firm and professional ethics.
Course Outcomes By the end of this course, students will:
1. analyze he architectural profession
2. gain skills about the architectural services during initiation-design-bidding/tender-construction and closeout phases
3. gain knowledge on preparing construction contracts
4. be able to estimate, plan and control building project cost
5. be able to schedule the work items
6. gain knowledge about contract administration and controlling
7. gain awareness of professional ethics in the field of architecture.
