A recent shift in wireless communication R&D has been towards fifth-generation (5G) systems, exploring the potential of enhancing these networks with machine learning capabilities. Consequently, this course provides a foundational introduction to machine learning, leading into its application in shaping physical layer strategies in wireless communications and optimizing mobile networks.
