Course Objectives

1. To provide knowledge the properties of ion exchangers

5. To provide a background in the theory of ion exchange that are important to ion chromatographic separations

8. To teach Ion-Exchange Resins, Anion exchangers, Cation exchangers
9. To teach various dedectors using with ion chromatograph
10. To teach Donnan Equilibria; Selectivity Characterictics; Breakthrough Curve and Performance of Column

Course Description

Principles of ion exchange, inorganic and organic ion exchangers, ion exchange resins, synthesis of strong and weak acid cation exchangers and strong and weak base anion exchangers, their properties, degree of cross-bonding, swelling, capacity, selectivity, equilibrium in ion exchange, kinetic in ion exchange,
