Course Objectives
To get the necessary knowledge about the hardware and the working principles of dedicated processing structures of the aero-space board computers. Avionics oriented microcontroller based system integration and design.
Course Description
Logic gates. Multiplexers, demultiplexers, encoders, decoders, counters. Memory concepts and architecture. Microcontroller structure. Assembly language. Instruction set, addressing modes and interrupt. Peripherals and interfacing devices. Mission oriented dedicated system’s architectural design.
Course Outcomes
Student, who passed the course satisfactorily can:
1. Know the logic gates and digital circuit elements;
2. analyze memory architectures;
3. know the microcontrollers elements and their functions;
4. understand the necessity and differences between high level and assembly level
languages;
5. know different addressing modes;
6. know the subroutine and interrupt concepts;
7. know the interfacing architecture with peripheral devices;
8. to predict and design mission oriented embedded microcontroller systems for simple
aero-space functions and automation applications;
