UCK 472E - Aeroelasticity
Course Objectives
1. A fundamental understanding of static aeroelasticity of airfoils and wings
2. A fundamental understanding of dynamic aeroelasticity of airfoils and wings
3. Introduction to computational methods of aeroelasticity.
Course Description
The course starts with an introduction to structural dynamics focusing on string dynamics, modal solution, torsional and bending dynamics of uniform beams. A fundamental understanding of static and dynamic aeroelasticity of airfoils and wings will be obtained by the students. Understanding of classical theory and introduction to computational methods of aeroelasticity will be achieved.
