UCK 427E - Combustion
Course Objectives
1. To introduce the theoretical approaches required to understand, prescind and interpret combustion.
2. To teach methods to evaluate energetic and exergetic efficiency of various types of reacting fluids.
3. To give ability to apply thermodynamic approaches on problems related to real combustion problems and train the students to adapt theoretical methods in order to design combustion chambers, flames and overall system unit.
Course Description
The course presents foundational combustion concepts through straightforward and accessible analyses. Additionally, it introduces numerous practical applications that illustrate and connect to various theoretical principles. Ultimately, undergraduates will gain knowledge in the field of various combustion aspects and get an introducion on applicable methodologies in related fields.
