Course Objectives 1. To train students to solve chemical engineering design problems using knowledge of mathematics, engineering and computers.
2. To train students in using Aspen HYSYS software to solve design problems.
3. To train students to analyze and solve problems and evaluate the results using their engineering knowledge in computer aided design projects.
4. To provide students with experience in searching information on the web to keep up with the latest developments in Aspen HYSYS applications.
5. To improve student’s effective individual working skills.
Course Description It covers the use of some package programs in the design of processes, equipment or facilities to be made on subjects related to Chemical Engineering.
Course Outcomes At the end of this course students will be able to;
1. Demonstrate an ability to analyze a problem, developing solution strategies and applying design techniques.
2. Use modern engineering techniques and information technologies.
3. Construct flowsheets, specify process parameters, formulate mass-energy balances, derive the mathematical model equations and use software to simulation the chemical engineering processes.
