Course Objectives

1. To provide students with the knowledge and skills to find and analyze fluid properties and flow parameters from sources.
2. To provide students with the knowledge and skills to identify and solve flow problems.
3. To gain the ability to solve fluid flow problems with the help of computer.

Course Description

Properties of fluids, Fluid statics, Fluid flow, Fundamental equations, Mechanical energy equation, Macroscopic and microscopic momentum balances, Incompressible flow in pipes and channels, Flow over surfaces, Pumps, Flow measurement.
