Course Objectives
1. Understanding the main concepts and principals of chemical engineering
2. Learning several industrial measuring and control equipments such as temperature, pressure, level control, thermal, moisture, viscosity, flow rate
Course Description
Main concepts of measurement, units and unit systems, temperature scales, devicesab out temperature measurement, measurement of temperature by electrical methods, radioactive temperature measurement methods, pressure, pressure principles, measuring of pressure values, pH and moisture measurement and the devices, Some devices of level control, level control of solid materials, devices of flow rate mesurements, viscosity and measuring systems, density, specific gravity, devices of density measurement
Course Outcomes
1. To gain the ability to use the chemical engineering knowledge.
2. To gain the ability to collect and interpret the data of a system
3. To gain knowledge about the operating principles of various measuring devices in industry.
4. To gain knowledge about the control devices used in industry.
5. To search various books or internet sources and to gain the ability to communicate in writing or oral presentation subjects.
