Course Objectives
1.Demonstrate knowledge about the current and developing bioprocesses in the chemical and food industries.
2.Demonstrate knowledge about the biomolecules in order to follow the developments in biotechnology.
3.Demonstrate an ability to analyze biochemical processes.
4.Use the Internet and the library to keep up with the latest developments in biochemistry.
5.Prepare written reports in Turkish.
Course Description
Essential biomolecules (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids) and their chemical structures, properties, and metabolic reactions. Bioenergetics and enzymes. Regulation and coordination of metabolic reactions.
