KMM 220 - Fluid Mechanics

Course Objectives

The purpose of the course is to inform students about the engineering properties of fluids, to derive, explain, and impart application skills for conservation and motion equations for fluids, taking into account fluid properties, and to provide the ability to apply these equations to different flow states.

Course Description

Properties of Fluids, Fluid Statics, Fluid Flow, Mass and Energy Conservation Equations, Mechanical Energy Equation, Pumps, Flow Meters, Macroscopic and Microscopic Momentum Balances, Incompressible Flow in Pipes and Channels.
