Course Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce students who have innovative and new ideas that can be applied commercially in biosystems (food, chemistry, health, biotechnology, genetic, biology, drugs, pharmaceuticals) the understanding of :
1) Technoentrepreneurship and applications of r&d in technoentrepreneurship
2) Stages of transformation of innovative ideas within the sector into value added outcomes
3) Government and private incentives and support in entrepreneurship
4) Business models and business plans
5) Entrepreneurship in national and international dimensions and its importance
Course Description Definition of entrepreneurship and technoentrepreneurship, nature of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, concept of R&D, innovative process, transform an innovative idea into value added in life sciences sectors, funding that enterpreanurs can utilize, preparing a business plan, SWOT analysis, resource analysis, angel investors, financial planning, market research, pricing strategies and their importance, market structure and market dynamics, selection company legal types: joint stock company, limited liability companies, e-marketing and sales, export/import and custom regulations
KOSGEB, Teknokent, Ministry of Economy and Development, TUBITAK support and incentives, project writing and submission for R&D ideas, patents and intellectual property rights
Entrepreneurship in national and international dimensions and its importance, the role and contribution of entrepreneurship in economic growth and development, entrepreneurship in developing and developed countries
