Course Objectives
1.To teach the solution methods of linear equation systems and to provide the ability to use the concepts of matrix and determinant in materials science applications.
2. To introduce the basic concepts required to understand, construct, solve and interpret differential equations, to teach methods to solve differential equations of various types, solve materials science examples.
3. To give an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics in materials engineering problems.
Course Description
Matrices and Systems of Linear Equations, Vector Spaces, Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors, First Order Differential Equations, Higher Order Linear Equations, The Laplace Transform, Systems of First Order Linear Differential Equations
