Course Objectives
1. To train students to understand and analyze unsteady processes,
2. To train students to choose an appropriate control system for a specific process and evaluate the system response to the input parameters,
3. To train students to use computers in problem solving,
4. To provide experience in literature search in the library and on the web.
Course Description
Basic concepts in process control, feedback control, Laplace transforms, time constant and frequency elements, stability criteria, transient response for open and closed loop systems, controllers, performance evaluation, frequency response analyses.
