Course Objectives
The overall educational objective of this course is to enable students to:
1. Understand importance and role of Facility Management methods for smart buildings and facilities.
2. Analyze performance and financial impacts of Facility Management.
3. Design efficient and effective Facility Management networks.
4. Actualize sustainable building management
Course Description
Facility Management Concept, Smart Building Concept, Management and Organization Concepts, Technical Management of Facilities, Human Resources Management, Emergency Concept, Emergency Management, Governance Principles, Management of Technological Services, Education and Career Planning, Sustainable Facility Management Methods, Storage Management.
Course Outcomes
Students who successfully pass this course gain knowledge, skills and proficiency in the following subjects:
I. Define and explain Facility management and Smart building concepts.
II. Define and explain Emergency and intervention concepts.
III. Define the decision areas for a successful Technological Services Management strategy, analyze the benefits of implementing effective Management practices.
IV. Define and explain Facility management approach and systems and their impacts on Smart building.
