Course Objectives
To obtain basic concepts of optimization methods with applications to telecommunications
Course Description
Review of linear algebra and multivariable calculus, linear programming, simplex method, unconstrained optimization,
gradient and Newton's methods, equality and inequality constraints, Lagrangian duality, support vector machines, least-
squares method, introduction to neural networks, convex optimization, case studies in signal processing and telecommunications.
