Course Objectives		- Communication requirements of electrical distribution networks -Usage of electrical distribution lines as communication networks -Computer network and their basic principles -basic networking technologies
Course Description		Electrical netwokrs and their communication needs. Fundamentals of communication engineering. Utilization of electrical distribution lines for communication networks. Network communication protocols for grid applications.
Course Outcomes		i. Learning basic principles of data communications ii. Acquiring the knowledge on utilization of electrical grid for communication networks. iii. Gaining knowledge in computer networks and basic communication protocols iv. Obtaining the skills in designing computer networks for electrical grid applications.
