Course Description
Introduction of process control systems. Sensors and actuators used in process control systems. Dynamic behavior and modeling of process control systems. Obtaining models of process control systems from experimental data. Multi-degree-of-freedom process control systems. Forward and feedback controllers. Internal model control structures. PID controller parameter setting methods. Special process control structures: Smith predictors; rate control; Reference value setters; Cascade control. Introduction to predictive control. Two-in-Two-output (TITO) process control structures.
