Course Objectives
To provide a basic understanding of artificial neural networks and how they are applied to the real world engineering problems.
Course Description
To provide a basic understanding of artificial neural networks and how they are applied to the real world engineering problems.
Course Outcomes
Understand the fundamentals of artificial neural networks (ANNs)
Gain some mathematical understanding of neural network models
Gain abilities to select suitable neural network models
Learn how to use ANNs for problems of classification and regression
Evaluate the performance of a neural network and tune the neural network to get the best performance
Having ability to apply the concepts of ANNs to real-world engineering problems
Pre-requisite(s)
Having basics of matrix algebra, and calculus
