Course Objectives
1.To introduce the type of noises in electronic systems and give the definations which are used to
determine the effects of the noise and its measurments.
2.To introduce the reasons of the distortion in electronic systems and give the definations which are used
to determine the effects of distortion and its measurments.
3.Introduction of the oscillators which are used in RF systems in broad details and to give the related
mathematical equations. To give the gain and bandwidth definitions in narrow-band tuned amplifiers
and investigate the stability problem.
Course Description
High Frequency Electronics
Course Outcomes
I. The sources of the noise in electronic systems and their effects. The most effectious parameters which
determine the noise, the methots which can be applied for the optimization, noise measurment
techniques.
II. The reasons of the Distortion in electronics systems, the techniques which can be applicable for its
reduction, measurement methods.
III. The oscillator circuits used in RF systems, the parameters which determine the maximum oscillation
frequency, the oscillator structures which are suitable for the IC design, the importance of the phase
noise in oscillators the circuit parameters which determine it.
IV.The calculation of the gain and bandwidth in narrow-band band tuned amplifiers, the design methods of
the cascaded tuned amplifiers, the stability in tuned amplifiers.
