ELK 221E - Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is,
1. To provide understanding of the basics of electrical systems to other engineering formations
2. To mention reflections of electrical engineering on non-electrical engineering disciplines
3. To give the theoretical and practical electric systems knowledge
4. To teach the concept of “Systems”

Course Description

Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering: Electric circuits, circuit components and laws, analytic solution techniques, alternative current circuits, multi-phase systems, and transient phenomena.
Electronic Circuits: Diodes, transistors, operational amplifiers, and digital electronics.
Electrical Machines: Transformers, induction machines, synchronous machines, direct current machines
