ECN 305E - Industrial Organisation

Course Objectives

This course studies how firms compete or collude with each other and how these interactions affect profits and consumer welfare. We will study a variety of market structures including the oligopolistic market structure. In an oligopolistic market structure, the firms’ decisions are interdependent. That is, when a firm takes a decision, it has to take other firms’ decisions into account. Because of this interdependency, a certain amount of game theory will be used in this class.

Course Description
