Course Objectives		1. To educate engineers who can apply their Production Planning and Scheduling knowledge to real life applications, 2. To give the ability of transformation of bill of material of a product tree into the computer software. 3. To educate industrial engineers who can construct and economic order and production plan according to the incoming orders.
Course Description		Production System and Resources, Resource Planning Concept, Evolution of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Bill of Materials (BOM), Master Production Schedule (MPS), Stocks, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), Closed Loop Material Requirement Planning, Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP), Manufacturing Resources Planning (MRP II), Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP), Distribution Resources Planning (DRP II), Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), Selection and Evaluation of ERP Softwares, An Application on a Software Package, Stages and Management of ERP Projects, Supply Chain Management Concepts and Softwares
Course Outcomes		A student who passes this course is expected to be able to: 1. Form product tree of a real product, 2. Comprehend capacity notion in a better way, and use it to real applications, 3. Implement the notions of transformation of a simple enterprise structure into an integrated one and then a network of enterprises, in the framework of theoretical or application which ever required, 4. Set up the supplier manufacturer and customer relationship in the computer media, 5. Distribute goods economically by means of logistics.
