SED 308 - Management and Organization

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of the theories of management within organizational domain by adapting conceptual, analytical, and pragmatic perspective.

Course Description

The course provides a framework for understanding the opportunities and challenges involved in formulating and implementing strategies by taking a systems view of organizations. Course content includes the following topics: evolution of management thought, basic concepts and definition of management and organization, management as a profession, management schools/theories, management functions, the future perspectives on management.
