Course Objectives To teach the fundamental concepts of the Linux operating system.
To provide hands-on experience with using the Linux operating system.
To develop skills in configuring networks and servers in a Linux environment.
To enhance system management abilities, including monitoring and interpreting system performance.
Course Description The aim of this course is for students to learn the concepts of the Linux operating system, use it actively, and develop software specific to the operating system. In this context, the course aims to teach basic Linux operations, network and server configuration, system management, and to enhance monitoring and interpretation skills.
Course Outcomes Knows the structure of the Linux operating system.
Knows basic Linux commands, file structure, monitors and manages the system.
Manages servers, firewall, and network configurations, uses basic network operations, interprets system logs.
Uses Linux shell scripting languages (like bash).
Develops applications using one of Python, Vala, C#, or Java languages, creates packages for distribution.
