Course Objectives

To provide students an understanding of basic goals of financial management and financial functions
To inform them about the basic concepts and fundamentals of finance

Course Description

Topics covered include: Introduction to financial management, the goals and functions of financial management; financial analysis, financial forecasting, leverage, working capital and financing decision, current asset management, sources of short term financing, time value of money, valuation and risk and rates of return, stock and bond valuation, working capital, capital budgeting, long term debt and preferred stock, the cost of capital, dividend policy.
