Course Objectives
1 - Provide system approach that every engineeer should acquire.
2 - Provide knowledge to students that helps to evaluate projects by handling ALL technical and managerial aspects of projects.
Course Description
Project Management is a multi-disciplinary activity, which aims to achieve the predetermined objectives under limited resource and time conditions. This course is designed to provide a system approach that includes almost all technical and managerial aspects of projects. Topics vary from creating new project ideas to project selection and evaluation, project organization, planning, budgeting, scheduling, monitoring, controlling, auditing, and termination.
Course Outcomes
1 - Understand project management process and practice the process for current projects in different sectors,
2 - Design, evaluate and select the new project ideas that competing in each other.
3 - Define organizational structure, build an appropriate teams and provide an effective coordination by distinguishing the project types,
4 - Plan, schedule, allocate resources, monitor, close-out effectively and control the project,
5 - Provide an accurate project cost estimates and have an ability to use the project resources effectively,
6 - Define the project risks using the risk analyses techniques, quantify the effects of the risks on project and have an ability to manage them.
