Course Objectives
The main objectives of this course are as follows:
• To broaden students’ general knowledge about how to manage organizational resources,
• To help students understand the fundamental functions of management, i.e. planning, organizing, leading, and controlling,
• To improve students’ analytical skills related to managerial decision making
• To improve students’ awareness about the contemporary challenges managers face.
Course Description
Management and Organization is a field of study that deals with getting things done effectively and efficiently, with and through people.
Course Outcomes
Those students who successfully pass this course are expected,
• To develop an understanding of how to manage people at work.
• To explore and improve their own managerial skills and leadership potential,
• To develop an awareness about basic concepts pertaining to managerial life such as decision making, planning, organizational structure, motivation, ethical issues, etc.
• To experience managerial problems via real life cases,
• To recognize sources of managerial problems and try to formulate reasonable solutions to them
