HUK 213 - Occupational safety and health law

Course Objectives

In this course, the role of state in occupational health and safety, especially its duties of making legislation and surveillance, rights and duties of employers and employees and compensation of work accidents’ results will be considered.

Course Description

Protection of human life is the basic duty of the state. Since work exposes individuals to occupational risks, special protection of working people’s health, is exceptionally important in labour law. Although protection of working people’s health is a matter of medicine and engineering, as a duty of the employer, occupational health and safety is also a matter of law.
